I’ve got a Razer Nostromo on my main PC that I use for gaming, but after the Windows 8 install, the Razer programming software won’t recognize the pad. Applying Changes is what loads the key settings into the device’s internal memory and allows it to be used in games. So it might be worth an update to see if that helps anything. Razer Nostromo Is anyone with Windows 7 64bit, having problems with Driver 1. Only thing is, I can’t get any of the download links posted to work. They need to do this sooner rather than later, I’m in the market for a new headset looking at either a megalodon, or their new one, but hate the neon green, lolbut if they can’t support their old hardware quick enough, I’ll look elsewhere System One OS 8.

I have also come into the same problem as the rest of you with Win8. You need to edit the keys in the editor and then upload it Apply Changes to the Nostromo device.
Which OS releases does it run on? I’ve tried contacting Razer with a similar outcome.

I’m using my own custom key config on my Nostromo, so there shouldn’t be any issue with you doing the same. You may try remove all traces of the v2 software from the PC, and also go into the system devices and remove any razer nostromo devices you find check the box to remove the drivers as wellthen reinstall 1. How common is it? But for whatever reason, Razer decided to remove the nvram and make it completely dependent on their software for programming.
